The Retreat Sanctuary

Book a glorious vacation or retreat in this 1917 craftsmen style lodge! The back of the house with its lovely porch and deck overlook Wagner Creek and the wooded hills of the Siskiyou Mountains. From the back porch you enter via the enclosed sun porch with its leaded glass windows and rocking chairs.

A large country kitchen with wide-planked pine floors invites a cooking project. The dining/living room area spans the length of the house encouraging formal or informal gatherings. Off of the living room, the Ananda bedroom warmly offers a twin futon day bed and a pull out floor level twin. Next door is the marble tiled bath, bathtub and shower, with a large stained glass window.

Before your journey takes you to the middle floor, there is a small, relaxing library to whet your reading appetite. Down the stairs there are four bedrooms and another full bath: Sattva and Shakti to your right, Karuna and the bathroom to your left, and Vayu down the hallway. Sattva with its warm, golden glow offers a nurturing refuge, a twin futon day bed and its accompanying hideaway twin. Shakti enlivens and spaciously contains a queen futon bed, a cozy futon chair that folds into a single and a door to the outside. Karuna takes us into the forest with a twin bed and futon chair that also folds into a single. Vayu is the cooling room that overlooks the creek with a queen bed.
